The announcement came during the NYSC Batch B Stream 1 swearing-in ceremony at the Damare orientation camp in Girei LGA. Corps members, already buzzing with excitement about their service year, erupted in cheers as Governor Fintiri made the life-changing declaration.
“We are committed to making Adamawa a friendly and supportive home for you during your service year,” the governor said, assuring corps members of his administration’s dedication to youth development and welfare.

This adjustment brings Adamawa corps members’ monthly stipend to ₦107,000, when combined with the ₦77,000 federal NYSC allowance. At a time when rising living costs are hitting young people hard, the move has been widely praised as both timely and impactful.
