Air Chief Vows to Eliminate Terrorists Threatening Nigeria’s Security

In a resolute declaration, Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, the Chief of Air Staff (CAS) of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF), has affirmed the military’s unwavering commitment to eradicating terrorism and safeguarding the nation’s sovereignty.

Speaking during the Second Quarter Route March in Abuja, Air Marshal Abubakar emphasized that the NAF will relentlessly pursue and neutralize all threats to Nigeria’s peace and stability. He stated, “To the enemies of our nation, know this: there will be no hiding place for those who threaten the peace and stability of Nigeria. We are coming for you. We will find you and take you out” .

This declaration comes amid intensified military operations across various regions. Notably, the NAF recently conducted precision airstrikes in Borno State, targeting Boko Haram insurgents in Bita, resulting in the neutralization of numerous terrorists and the destruction of their strongholds .

Furthermore, the NAF has enhanced its operational capabilities, including night vision technology, to ensure round-the-clock surveillance and engagement of hostile elements. Air Marshal Abubakar highlighted that “the night offers no more cover for enemies of the state,” reinforcing the military’s readiness to confront threats at any hour .

The Air Chief also underscored the importance of physical fitness among personnel, mandating that all performance evaluations be accompanied by a physical fitness test certificate. He stated, “No personnel will be considered for promotion without being medically and physically fit” .

As Nigeria continues to confront security challenges, the NAF’s proactive measures and unwavering resolve signify a robust approach to restoring peace and protecting citizens across the nation.
