Grammy-winning Nigerian artist Burna Boy, whose real name is Damini Ogulu, has warned people who are having a hard time accepting his new self that his old self has “died.”
Burna Boy accused Nigerians of “killing” the previous iteration of himself in a post posted on the official Instagram page for his next album, “No Sign Of Weakness.”
He disclosed that there is an ongoing struggle between his old and new selves.
“The ‘African Giant’ Burna Boy passed away,” he wrote. He was slain by his own people. “Big 7” was then created to save what remained of “Burna Boy.”
“Burna Boy and Big 7 fight a lot because Burna Boy is still haunted by the ‘African Giant,’ while Big 7 is only defending the last and only piece of Burna Boy’s broken heart.”
